I am looking for new shocks for my Tahoe, its daily driven and stays on the pavement, I want something with as smooth a ride as possible, right now I have cheapo Napa shocks you feel every bump, been looking at Belltech shocks for a factory height truck can get a good deal on them, they any good? And what are some others to look at?

Doubtful you'll find a better buy for your money, than the god ole yellow Bilsteins.

Mine have been truly a good product throughout, good bushings, dust cover, and shock.
I took my rear two off a couple weeks ago to clean up Been on my truck 8 years. They're like just out of the box, tough as nails, and a better ride than the stock crap that came with my $37K list 97 Hoe.

They aren't that much more, which ones you run?

I believe what I went with, was just the standard 4600 series shocks, that at the time I bought, there was no such thing as the "4600 comfort series".

I would assume of the two, the standard 4600 series might be the better pick if using larger tires-wheels on a stock ride height setup.

When I lived in Illinois, it was a walk in purchase at McNeil, and to tell the truth, the price of these really hasn't gone up, what I paid for mine years ago, they appear to be about the same price today.

I put LTW airshocks on rear(O'Reilly) and can't think of the front ones.

I further went on to install a pair of Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags on the rear of my Hoe.

Alhough the Bilsteins gave better control to larger tires all the way around, they are of course not a cure for carrying heavy loads, or trailering, with heavy tongue weights.

Rather than swapping rear Leafs, or adding Leafs, this was the answer without ruining the ride, and even unloaded, there's greater stability, and handling control improvement was noted. About a 2 hour installation.
