Use 20w50 if u have over 150k and get another 150k easily
I think that generally once you start in on high mileage formulations you should stick with them. They have seal conditioners that help old seals "plump" to fill worn tolerance. Seals can then wear in again to seat to current gaps. If you stop with the high mileage oil there is the potential for seals to shrink back and then have larger gaps than when you started.am going to run the high mileage for a couple cycles of the Mobil 1 synthentic starting next oil change btw.

That being said, I started with a high mileage oil when I purchased my Yukon which had 155k last year.
I use Penzoil Platinum High Mileage Synthetic and it says for vehicles over 75k. I know that is just marketing, but since there is no difference in price I see no reason to question it.you make a good point there. whats the lowest mileage youd start using it on? 100k? 120k?
