W7s are LOUD but best is a relative statement. I like clarity over quantity and subwoofers that create music not sheer noise.
I agree. I do not like the cone cry, tonality, and resonance of the cones on W7s.

I'll take a GTi (or several other subs) over a W7 anyday for sound quality. I like a speaker you can't hear playing.<think about that 3 times>

I'd take a Ti12D elite over a w7 for the same output and sound quality with a lower price.

funny thing is the main objective of the w7 was sq. the w7 was never designed as an spl speaker.

Yup Yup, "Best" can be a completely subjective statement, to some Best is 4000 watts shaking the bolts out of your ride, and others Best is looking for the perfect sound and amount of bass to compliment their system.

One could be forgiven for concluding you have been influenced by Kicker in some way....:)

Which is why I like JL. you can have both. Turn it down and have nice, clear, tight, fill in bass, crank it up and get bolt sheering bass.

See that’s where I disagree if you are still talking about the w7's and not just JL as a brand. I love JL too, the W7's just aren't for me. The W6V2's will always sound better for me since DB's is not my focus. With the W6V2's will be more responsive, and sound better than trying to tone down w7's to match your speakers.
Little known fact: The speakers have to be heard through the bass for it technically be called music....

See this is where i agree about the w7s... in smaller quieter systems..i think the w0 or w1 sounds better.. IMO the w7 doesnt really shine until its tested

A w7 turned down low enough that two people in a car can have a conversation with the windows up.. doesnt sound as good as a w0-w1

IMO
