how many wires TOTAL are on the marker?

should be 4-5

DRL +
Running +
Blinker+

and then a ground (or two)

OF course depending in if they are ground switched you could have
a positive + (or two)
DRL -
Blinker -
running -

or EVEN some mix of the two.

------------------------

you need to figure out what you have truck side...

then figure out what wires do what on the sidemarker.

I can then help you configure it to work.

still not sure what's up with this thing, i took out the wiring for the tow bar, didn't help any, it's weird, there's power on both sides of the fuse in the engine bay, but not at the sockets, so i don't know if there's another fuse inside the truck or something... but i would really like to figure this out.

after all that chasing, it was easy-mode to fix.

apparently, GM decided it'd be convenient if we could disable/enable the DRL's with the dome override button (because that makes sense), so apprently if you put the truck in gear and hit the dome override button a few times, you can enable and disabled the front DRLs

i can tell that it's not on when i am driving (can see the refelction in the vehicle infront of me) only the orange turn signals are on.. which as i said, flash brighter when i signal.

i'll have to check for a blown fuse or something, the ends for the white lights looked a little cooked, just need the weather to cooperaste for a day or 2..

are your orange lights on all the time too?

I know this won't help you but I ran into the same problem with my motorcycle. I replaced my rear running lights with LED bulbs, but they wont come on as running lights they would just blink with the turn signal on. I was told that not all led's are made to work as running lights. Double check the ones you purchased to confirm they are running lights. You may also need a load balancer resistor.
I haven't figured my problem out as yet so I sure as heck can't solve yours. GL

BTW are you talking about the DRL's? I put some LED in for my DRL on my Nali and they work fine. I got them from cocatin offroad (or something like that)
