Where did YOU run your amp power wire?

Thank you so much for the assist, sir. I greatly appreciate it.

I don't see anything that resembles that or that power flows into and out of under my hood, near the booster or otherwise. Doesn't mean it isn't there - I'm wearing a Mopar t-shirt while I'm doing this so GM is sort of a mystery to me :)

Is that terminal block installed with some sort of option or do all the newer trucks have one? What purpose is it intended to serve?

It's like a 50 amp fusible link between the battery and the rest of the trucks electrical systems.

Oooh okay gotcha. Mine may have something like that, but to be honest I have no clue where it would be unless it's underneath the underhood fuse block. I'll take another look before I tie into the unused trailer brake stud. There's one 30A and one 40A, either one will be enough juice for this little guy I suspect.

You basically got to start at the battery and follow the positive cable looking for a big ass metal fusible link with mounting studs or screws. It might be even right at the battery post. Maybe get me a better pic where that jumper red box thing is while it is open so I can see whats going on in there. And follow where the cable goes after that. I bet you would find it then.

Good news! It works great!

Bad news! Now my speedometer is pegged at 100 and won't go down. (sigh)

Oh well, one project morphs to another. I'll disconnect the power lead to the amp and see if that's the cause. If not, maybe I poked a wire inadvertently fishing the wire through.

You guys aren't going to believe this - I'm not sure I do.

Finally took Macho Grande for a spin, broken speedo be damned. For those fortunate enough to not have first hand experience with Pennsylvania roads, allow me to enlighten you - they're a mess of potholes and dips. Can't avoid them all, although I try my best. Eventually I hit one.

Speedometer is fixed. [emoji28]
