If you take a look at what the camshaft position sensor looks like (see this one on Amazon), you'll note that the o-ring (colored blue in the photo) is pretty far down the length of the sensor shaft. So the sealing surface is pretty far down below the top of the camshaft position sensor itself. I'm not sure if it's possible for oil to go up all that way to leak out of that hole. But, when I replaced my valley cover gasket, I did the camshaft position sensor just because it was there.

Typical oil change and noticed oil all around the bell housing coming from the very top of the engine/ everything else before the rear main seal is bone dry.
Took the intake manifold off and low and behold oil..... Now I replaced the oil pressure sensor just in case when I bought the Tahoe (to make sure I was getting correct readings ect) a year ago from ebay that was $15 and did last oil change a couple months ago with no sign of any leaking and pressure has been reading normally as well no weird drops ect, so this just started, what i get for getting a cheap part
Question is how the heck did oil get in the actual plug portion itself. the plug was filled with it and the harness plug to the sensor was drowning in it lol with the oil residue all in the back of the engine bay compartment behind the valve comer itself, even soaked part of the bottom valve cover.
there is another plug on the engine block itself right next to the oil pressure sensor not sure what that is but could that also leak oil out or no.
i have oil catch can and clean oil Seperator kit from elite engineering as well with S&B air intake just for info.
