Not yet I was gonna try to look and see if the cam position sensor looked oily tomorrow. When I did the oil pressure switch, I didn't notice a bunch of grime in that area. The dealer actually replaced oil pan before I bought the truck, maybe they did a ****** job and it's already leaking again, 1 year later. Still weird it seems like it's above that, but that's really my only other possibility. Other than main seal, flywheel is dry though

Yesterday I took the covers off the bell housing and flywheel was dry a tiny bit of oil/grime on the bottom but nothing crazy. Top of engine looks nice and clean bottom is another story.

Thanks for that info Scloe may come in handy. I have one that started down there recently too. No noticeable loss when check oil & gauge fine. Had hoped was loose filter but no luck. Read couple places about a common problem with a plate above there, still diagnosing.
I am currently battling a leak myself, my 05 denali has over 260k on it, I've done the pan gasket (again), cam and crank trigger, oil sender, vc gaskets, valley plate gasket and still leaking, truck was just repainted so now i will be tackling the rear main seal and cover gasket as soon as the seal installer arrives

haven't had much time to investigate anything else. wiped it all clean again and shoved a shop towel in between the starter bolt and bellhousing where it is definitely leaking. hopefully this will help narrow it down, by stopping the oil there and not blowing all over the place after leaking down below. like i said before, the inside starter bolt collects some oil while i'm watching, nowhere else is visible. so if my rag is oily after i remove it after driving around some, and nowhere else, i'll at least know i'll have to take the starter out and look at the crank position sensor. still need to try and see if i can see the camshaft position sensor leaking possibly if thats not it. whatever it is, its definitely waaay in the back...maybe my rag is the solution for now haha if it doesn't drip it may have to be for a while.

With rag shoved up under starter I drive around. Rag Bone dry? Wth? Bottom of pan has oil again. Soooo this time it seems to have come down the other side. Befuddled since when I'm under it it only shows oil on the inside starter bolt.

Throwing in the towel-it's going to the dealer Friday. I hope they don't tell me it's the main or something major. I kind of hope they say it's the oil pan-since they fixed that less than 6000 miles ago. That'll piss me off if it "went bad" that quick.

I'm going to replace my oil pan gasket but I think I'll wait a little bit. Looking to see if there is anything else that needs to or should be replaced like the oil pump when changing the gasket. Good luck and make sure to report back.

Yeah if they say oil pan again and they won't help me out at all since they JUST changed it out, I'll do it myself and change the boring or whatever on the pick up while I'm in there.
