Which build months are safe from lifter problems?

I just posted about the rough idling on my Yukon. Would be interested if you understand what I am describing.
Yes, my first Yukon had this not only after start up, but even during stops at lights/signs. My 2nd Yukon is not as noticeable, but it is there. I'm not worried though, because my 2015 F-150 (eco) and 2019 Ram (hybrid) also seemed ruff at idle. I blame it on all the new fuel saving tech. I absolutely hate cylinder deactivation and can feel it while active with a slight shudder though the pedals/steering/console. Again, my first Yukon was much much worse and I just wish there was a way to deactivate it.

Are all of you using 93 octane in your vehicles as recommended in the manual? Just curious.

My coworkers 21 sierra at4 just had the cylinder 6 and 8 misfire and had to get the passenger bank side lifters replaced. 21k miles

87 for the 5.3 6.2 says 93

Premium unleaded gasoline meeting ASTM
specification D4814 with a posted octane
rating of 93 — (R+M)/2 — is highly
recommended for best performance and fuel
economy. Unleaded gasoline with an octane
rated as low as 87 can be used. Using
unleaded gasoline rated below 93 octane,
however, will lead to reduced acceleration
and fuel economy. If knocking occurs, use a
gasoline rated at 93 octane as soon as
possible, otherwise, the engine could be
damaged. If heavy knocking is heard when
using gasoline with a 93 octane rating, the
engine needs service.
Do not use any fuel labeled E85 or FlexFuel.
Do not use gasoline with ethanol levels

Would be interesting for everyone to post the build dates and mileage of their vehicles and where you are located to see if there is a pattern. It looks like the very early builds had issues. Watch this video this guy says he got info from a tech friend of his that this issue is happening for build dates between Sept 1 2020 to March 21,2021 on sierras and silverado's but don't know if that is across the whole GM brand. I seem to see a lot more of the chevy's have this issue, at least on this forum.



Also here is the info the dealers get about the issue and what to do .


I have 2021 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2, Build date June 21, 2021 4K miles no issues so far located in NJ. My dealer says he has only seen a handful of vehicles with this issue at his dealership and almost all are with the 5.3 and with the older builds

rough idle has been a common issue for the 5.3 for a long time. Our 2011 suburban idle was terrible. Wasn't enough to actually see the tach needle move but you could feel the vehicle basically shaking. Dealer maintained for the 8 ish years we owned it, never any real problems reported, just routine maintenance. Fantastic vehicle but very annoying idle you just learn to live with. Our '21 yukon definitely has the same thing going on but nowhere near as noticeable. I am fully anticipating it getting worse as time goes on.

So far no lifter noise from the '21. Got 6K miles on her, build date 07/21

I hate it when someone posts about not having a problem as it should be expected but here I go.

My 2012 5.3L runs and idles smooth as butter. Only run with 87 octane top tier fuel, no Kroger gas. I also put it in the manual mode bypassing FM until it warms up, don't know if that helps.
