Hey guys i just got an 07 tahoe Lt. It came with angel eye headlights. They have halos and led strip. Which hid kit does everyone go with? In my last explorer i had a cheap ddm tuning 35w 8000k kit. I want to go with 6000k this time. What do you recommend? Also want something for my fogs as well.

If the headlights are the ones I think you have.....throw them in the garbage. If they are a true retrofit set, then you have a nice set. Let's see a picture and that will be a good start.

any plug and play will be the same in those headlights. The projector is very poor at producing usable light...

To answer better than "get new lights" Racesport are the ones to use. Get the G4 35W kit but only after you get new lights. Haha

Theres an led strip that goes across half of the bottom of the light. They seem to not put out much light and the halo rings do not light up very bright.

Those are the lights i thought you had. I bought those in black and put HID's in them. Horrible output.....basically took them off after a couple weeks and threw them in the garbage. I would recommend buying a factory replica set for $100 and either keep them halogen or put a PnP HID set in those. There will be glare to oncoming traffic unless you point them down a bit. Or do what I'm doing currently and get a real retro headlights with quality projectors and HID kit. Attached is a picture of what I think you have from Ebay.

Cheap HID kits are cheap HID kits, from my experience. I've tried several different brands and they've all had issues eventually. I haven't heard great things about the expensive brands either, but I have no personal experience with them.

I recently put a set of Starnill LED bulbs in my NBS Suburban that I've been much happier with, so maybe look into those? They're not a whole lot more expensive price-wise.

But like the gentlemen above me suggested, the main issue is your cheap projector lights. OEM lights with normal halogen bulbs would have much better light output.

I threw my old hid kit in. Here's a comparison. The choice is yours...
