This is true, however just towing a trailer from point A to point B, it doesn't make a difference, right? You're not going to be using 4wd on the highway or city streets.


Thats right, no need for AWD/4WD on the highway, but back the 2 drive tires in to the water on a slick ramp and better get a hold of the brakes quick :)
I remember seeing this happen years ago when I was a little kid. If I recall right, a guy was backing his truck in and when he went to pull out, it rolled back a little further, when the tires spun, it rolled back further. He didn't try anymore and another truck pulled his tires out of the water.
People use 2wd all the time for backing in to the water, I'm just not one of them :)

Fortunately/Unfortunately I don't have a boat, so it's not a problem for me at this time. I will definitely want something in 4WD once I have a boat and also to play offroad! :)

and you have a bass boat now.. Wait till you decide you want a cruiser :) Ya know tha's how boating works.. Im in the biz.. I'd just get the 4.8L , bring it home and drop in the 6.0. No issues. lol

See this ALL the time, in FL on low tide.. the ramps are like an ice rink.. YOu put it in 2wd, and you will go backwards!! LOL
