I am a bit torn. The 4x2 one has the ideal options for me…. Except 4x4 is ideal since I am moving to Fort Worth where it does occasionally snow/ice. I love supercruise but the 4x4 model with supercruise lacks a sunroof. Not super important for me but my fiancé likes it. I notice that a lot of dealers sell Tahoes with EITHER the deluxe package features OR the technology package features. All of them I can get below msrp, one if which is from a dealer that says they will accept friends and family/gm family legacy.

How much does supercruise add over adaptive cruise control?

I would rather not order if I don’t have to.

I’d go for top one, I could care less for super cruise and atleast for my area it’s not compatible on any roads I use on a daily basis so it’d be a waste

A 4wd is almost always far more desirable in these than a 2wd.
My dealer told me to always buy a 4wd even if you’ll never use it. You will get your money back at trade or sell time. People expect these to have it….

SuperCruise=waste of money….

Yeah 4wd is a huge benefit at trade-in. The proliferation of AWD vehicles and good marketing has made the general public see 4wd as a desirable feature. Just like seeing lots of Subarus in areas where the AWD will be rarely needed.

Id go with the super cruise with 4wd. You won't miss the sunroof as much as the 4wd (both in use and resale, i think only like 15% of GM full size come 2wd so it's a expectation by most), and supercurise is awesome (don't listen to people that say it isnt, most don't have it or understand the tech, great for resale too) .

It sucks that they all are missing the wireless charging but at least they don't have any retrofits.

The market is correcting. Those that paid markups for covid spec vehicles will be so underwater it's gonna be brutal. Especially when they go to sell or trade and all of the basic features are missing. Even civics and corolla have more standard features then covid spec gm full size suvs.

4wd

not like you're hurting financially if you're buying a $80k vehicle, but something to possibly research

our initial data plan ran out on our 23 Z71 Tahoe so i went and looked up the monthly costs.

Surprised to see that supercruise was a separate line item...it needs an active subscription to function. Not sure it that's covered in the trial or "new standard option of charging for plans" that GM is now forcing customers to pay...just a thought

Supercruise is a stand-alone $2200 option but prolly requires ordering things like more expensive wheels, or another package that you might not ordinarily want all it contains.

I was hot to trot wanting super cruise but after reading from some current owners, it seems to me like a novelty that could quickly wear off.

Buying something because it might snow 1x a a year, or because helps trade in, well, I am a bird in the hand person, not in a bush. Good success on your decision :thumbsup:
