Window Noise

Anyone experience this or have a solution?

When I lower or raise the drivers side window I have a really loud rubbing noise. Has me worried that something is not functioning correctly and don't want to lose my window right now...its freakin cold out.

My 02 makes those noises also. But in addition to that it makes a squeak right as its leaving the seal.

It may be possible that the wires for the regulator have gotten frayed. Right before mine went out I heard a rubbing noise and the window seemed like it was having a difficult time going up. You can take off the door panel and visually inspect the cables. If the cable is frayed, it's easier to replace the whole motor/regulator assembly. I got mine from ebay for around $50 Dorman. Or maybe you just need a cleaning-

Sorry for taking this back, I have the same or similar issues when my front windows are all the way down it makes a so much and irritating rattle noise is if nothing is holding the glass, is this a common problem, what to expect in repair or is it an easy fix?
