Anybody else have this issue? When I go 70mph or above, the wipers are catching some air underneath them and the water streaks and doesn't get completely wiped.

I know when I was younger they had those ghetto things that clipped onto your windshield wiper arms.....that went along with the colorful double wipers...lol

Anybody know of anything that can be bought to clip to the wiper arms to keep them down on the windshield at high speeds?

The frameless ones tend to help.

If your truck is an '07 or early build '08, you may have the old style wiper arms. They were notorious for streaking. GM has a bulletin with a fix to replace them. The fix is to use a new style arm - which in turn has the hook instead of the clip where the blade assembly attaches.

A good dealer will take care of this and get GM to warranty it....they did it for me on my '08 a couple months ago.

Yeah....mine is an 07'. My dealer has been good to me. You think they will still cover it even though I'm way out of factory warranty??

Tighten up the springs by slipping a small piece of reinforced fuel line over the metal stud the spring hooks onto inside the wiper arm itself.
This will stretch the spring that lil bit to help hold the arms down.

No telling...I was traveling and stopped at a dealer...he quoted me about $150 or so.

When I got back, I went to my regular dealer who I have a relationship with....they ordered the arms....got them in the next day...and called me when they arrived. Start to finish, including a wash, took less than an hour. And no charge....

Dealership won't do it for me. Part # are 25879117 and 25879116 and are about $25 a piece from gm parts direct.

Decisions decisions........ :)

You need blades as well....which my dealer sells for $10 apiece....the old ones won't fit.
