With or without side steps?

Sup guys. I been debating a while bout taking my side steps off. Now that I have not sure if I like it. Or maybe it’s one them situations that will grow on ya lol. What y’all think. Bottom 2 pics are with obviously.

I think it looks lower with the steps. In theory I think I should like it, but in the 3rd pic I think reality kicks in and notice things like light coming through the frame, the undulating bottom edge of the frame that works it’s way from out of sight up front to the rear lower arm mounts that hang low, and the control arms are nice, but I think it’s cleaner not seeing any of it.

I think if you’re lifted it looks better with them off and if you’re stock or especially lowered it looks better with them on. IMO it’s a big part of the reason the NBS Denali’s don’t look good lifted, because the running boards are matched with the rest of the ground effects like the wheel trim so if you pull them off the rest of it looks like something is missing. And if you leave them on it looks weird lifted.

Yes sir. I just wanted to try it but def looks like shit. I already put them back on. But I’m missing couple brackets now but they still sturdy. There are lines that run down passenger side that have tx30s an they are a pain to get out. One stripped on passenger side an 2 on driver so had to cut the brackets. They held back on fine. If not I would of welded them. And there is not enough room to get a drill in there to drill out the stripped torx so screw it. They back on tho. I appreciate everyone’s feedback. It was all the same thoughts I had lol

And now I know. n hopefully this thread will help someone else get the idea that it don’t look good an don’t do all the unnecessary work. If I would of seen a thread like this I wouldn’t even of done it
