Took delivery on Monday of a '15 Tahoe LTZ 4WD with SE&D package and other extras. OnStar and XM were both prompt in combining our leftover accounts from our previous vehicle and refunding the unused service, but XM told us that they had no knowledge of the extra nine months of free service included with the package. They said it was something that "the dealer gave us" and that we needed to address it with them. :wtf:

We're working on that right now, but I was curious if anyone else has had the same issue. Considering how many of these things have that package included (including every other one on our dealer's lot), it seems odd that XM has never heard of it before.

Edit: Dealer took care of it shortly after I finished typing the above. :) Still, seems odd that XM has never heard of something that comes right on the window sticker.

I received notification that my subscription would be ending on my Denali soon. I haven't had time to follow up but will be really disappointed if this is an issue that requires considerable attention. It sounds silly considering the MSRP on these trucks but the extra 9 months really helped put the final checks into the advantage column for the Denali over a competitors.

Please keep us updated on your progress!

Our posts crossed; I edited mine right as yours appeared. Our salesman at the dealer took care of it for us, so that should be the route to go.

Personally, I can't see why XM shouldn't be able to see that a car has the extra months just by the VIN. It should identify it as such, but apparently it doesn't as of now.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. My salesman was solid, I will take it up with him. Again, thanks!

12 months has (almost) always been part of the Denali's. Somewhere along the line, right around the time that they began to release the 2015.5's, they changed the package from 12 months of XM to 3 months. This happened to me, and I complained. Through a lot of back & forth with the dealer and the GM Customer Care center, they gave me a gratis 9 more months of XM.

As you noted, the dealer went out of their way to get it taken care of, and was great. But it's kind of crappy on GM side to do that.
