Very difficult to pop out from the outside without messing up the door panel. Removing the door panel is fairly painless. Many how to articles and videos on the net.
My armrests are not torn because I never use them. But I was thinking about getting these because they are leather. OEM armrests are vinyl so a leather upgrade would be nice.
I have both front leather seat bottoms in my Suburban. Fit and color match perfectly. Install is fairly simple. Check out their videos on youtube. This is my daily driver and I have had the seat bottoms for almost a year and they look brand new. I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner. Customer...
For 12v remote turn on for factory amp, from head unit, tap the pink wire on the harness and do not disconnect rear audio controls if u have them. When you add a new sub and amp, just disconnect that jumper wire.
Regarding your question about the interior, theseatshop.com is what I have in my 01 Suburban. Perfect fit and matching color. Call them, they know everything about the GM leather seats. Youtube install videos too.
I have a 2001 Suburban. The rear passenger door stoppers make terrible popping and screaching noises when opened and closed. I got this part number from the dealer. It's called a "link". Part # 19209020.
I had a similar issue. No check engine lights. Engined stalled a few times too. I have a 2001 suburban with the 5.3L. 140k miles. All I did was clean all the dirt build up in the throttle body. Removed only the intake boot and wiped clean with a rag. Idle is smooth now.
It's not a cover/plug, it's molded in. I have never seen a factory outlet there. My Suburban already has 3 in the dash and 1 one on the back of the center console. Time to drill it out and figure out something to put there. Thanks for the help.
I drive a 2001 Suburban LT. Inside the center console, there is a circle to the right of the coin holders? What is it for? Is it for optional passenger/wife ejection seat? Thanks for the help.
I assume you are asking about the module by the rearview mirror. Sorry, didn't take pics when I did it. Not sure if the design has changed, but I have a 2001 Suburban LT.
I removed both sun visors and the overhead console. Visors: Once the screws are removed, pull out the visor and there...
For the whine, keep the power and RCAs away from each other. I'm paranoid so i ran power down driver side and rca on passenger side. Also don't use cheap RCAs. Get the better stuff that is shielded. I use knukonceptz.com. You can definitely use the same 12v remote wire for both amps.
Great info. The reason I wanted to keep the wheels is because the truck came with 4 brand new Michelin tires. $200 plus each. I'm tempted to strip the clearcoat. I will look into both options. Thanks.
It's a metal to metal sound. U joints seem fine. Never thought about the springs. I will check it out. The truck has 150M miles so thats very possible.
I bought a 2001 Suburban a few months ago and the wheels need help. Can you recommend a wheel polish for these oem wheels (pic attached). The wheels have water marks and are dull. I tried the Mothers brand polishes and even one of the polishing wheels you attach to a drill, and no luck. Do...
