    Disabling the lifters is a good step and shouldn't make anything worse. (unless you re-activate AFM) The actuating part won't get fresh oil anymore, but those parts should never move again..

    I bought some factory mirrors that came with flat glass. I like to see down side of vehicle (backing up) and blind spot at the same time. Was getting used to it, but still didnt like. I considered tow mirrors also. Also considered a stick on button mirror but figured its small.

    Installed convex right mirror glass. Using 2 plastic prybars to remove old glass just bent both 90 degrees. Reaching in from outside edge with 2-3 fingertips pulling behind actuator ring worked great. Old mirror went flying and hit the ground. (Hold mirror with other hand) New KoolVue mirrors...

    Thanks for that link and the video on removal! The video I found had me prying the glass upwards to disengage the tabs, instead of outwards to remove mirror with mount. Will update if I get around to replacing just the mirror glass.

    Good source for replacement glass? I see kool vue on ebay, but its unheated. Others have the signal I dont want. At $90 for a motor, plus glass, a new oem mirror for $175 (ebay) seems easier.

    I've heard of fuse block issues as well.. Since you mention the voltage is different there vs. alternator voltage. Might be worth taking it apart to check the connections underneath..
