I withdraw my recommendation to play poker when in Dubai. Make friends.
There are a lot of of 07-14 Escalade hanging around the city of gold. Follow the trail to where they go for service and / or salvage for your 6L80 6 speed trans. Manual shift mode will verify its got 6 gears.
Like I said...
Welcome from SoCal, where ya at?
Not the brake switch doing that but do verify your brake lamps are working.
You’ve got enuf to go back to the seller and let em know you took the truck to the same place he did and they recognized the Burb and pulled up the following codes.
Play ♥️ ♦️ ♣️ poker...
Closed cell foam / CCF is incredible for stuffing in voids and cavities to isolate areas on the exterior you can follow up with a permanent solution like rhino liner or lizard skin.
I can tell you that by doing hushmat on the roof and CCF on the interior of the rear wheel wells of my two door...
Ask the seller to wrap a tape around the exhaust pipe. Take that number and divide by 3.14.
After moving the decimal around you should get 2.75 or 3.0”.
Between 07 & 09 on the Denali & Esky they changed the design of the Y pipe 3x. Since you’re potentially swapping 07 to 07 you should be...
* Line/Service men .. Rock.
* US Service was A+ but they farmed most of it out overseas.
Sorry for taking it off topic …
The gas pumps here in Cali have that annoying vapor recovery system built in that has to be maintained or they stop the fuel delivery.
Fortunately e85 & diesel do not have...
Worst case scenario call a dealership (caller ID blocked) and ask for “price and availability of the four bolts for said truck”.
Then tell the parts guy to give you the part #’s so you can write them down for your parts delivery driver so he won’t trouble you again when he comes in. He’ll thank...
A shout out to AT&T linemen and techs. You guys are the best. In our SoCal beach city we’re still on the orig copper lines or overloaded 1970 cable TV wire orig made for channel 2-13 +UHF.
When our AT&T copper $35 mo 30 mbps broadband rotted out all the way back to the switch out tech said (in...
You’ve really gotta wonder. How would a ZR1 Vette perform with the brakes off of a Suburban installed? It’s a hellovuh lot lighter and more powerful but you’d probably lock it up on hard stops if if didn’t have ABS.
In perspective, with the Vette’s Brembo brakes on a 3T Burb, they’ll perform...
Someone on the forum purchased an OEM Bosch MAF for their L94 and discovered it wasn’t in spec for his truck. The solution was to find the OEM part number from a GM website via the VIN.
He put a lot of time into figuring this out.
As you can see the oil press sensor is conveniently located at the back of the motor and easy to access (as long as the motor is out).
Be sure to use an OEM sensor in there from a reputable source. The market is flooded with offshore counterfeit crap. You don’t want to replace that buggar after...
FYI: GM’s full front & rear performance brake upgrade consists of Brembo, bolt on 6 piston calipers up front and a set of brand new painted OEM calipers exactly like the ones already on the rear of the vehicle.
As far as exhaust, if Borla and GM got together to design a system, I’d take the...
I’m really stoked to hear you’re not stuck in the old GM conundrum of wanting to sell your truck because of blown z55 struts.
Dealers used to extort owners $2600 for a new compressor and rear z55 struts with a one year warranty on both.
GM also has a lifetime warranty on their OEM & ac Delco...
I think The 07-14 Denali has one of the most underrated suspension set ups for the size of the vehicle. Range/Land Rover can’t be touched for comfort but getting a YXL Denali close to a RR in comfort is a big deal.
Keep in mind RR has fully active, height adjustable air suspension all around...
If the glittery 6.2L L92 is salvageable that 400hp tied to the 6L80 6SP in the wifey’s Avalanche would make her happy. Of course she’d be most happy with the AFM being gone in the 5.3L, right?
Our 08 Denali had scary piston slap below 50* at cold start up. The 40k and six years we had it, nothing came of it. The new owner I sold it to knew of it and appreciated the heads up.
I’d slip a new TC in filled w/ fresh fluid and service the trans, fluid & filter. Press the trip reset button...
Sorry for confusion. I corrected my last thread to reference your truck as a Denali instead of an Esky. I move through the Esky forums a lot.
L92 it is then. Consider using ARP studs on the exhaust manifolds while they’re out. They’ll never break or rust up. When it’s time to pull the trans...
That’s the first I’ve ever heard of new and leaking in a matter of months on both front struts.
The only thing I can think of is that someone did the ol switcharoo on their damaged struts, or returned their used, broken struts back to R/A for a refund stating they were New, unused parts.
What...
Wait!? Where’s the pictures of the matching 4 pot Brembo in the rear?
You can only stop on a quarter vs a dime until then. Seriously though, they look tough and pop like they should. I’m glad you found the hot galv, vented, slotted rotors that just came out.
What’s the data on the Denali replacement motor?
07-08 6.2L L92 (+ Esky).
07-08 6.2L L92 (pick up truck)
09 6.2 L9H (+ Esky)
09-13 6.2L L9H (pick up truck)
10-14 6.2L L94 (AFM)
If you can find an L9H it does not have AFM but requires the same higher volume fuel pump & injectors as the L94 as...
