Sounds coincidental. HAving said that, it's never a bad idea and check those side post battery terminals for corrosion inside of the rubber around the terminal bolts. Clean them out with boiling hot water by pouring it on them.
I'd also pull the air cleaner/intake tube off and take a look at...
Check the fuel trims. My guess is you are running at least +14% fuel correction on each bank. At your mileage/age, that intake manifold is probably leaking if it's never been done. Also the spider injector units have been updated to have actual injectors at each leg instead of just pintles...
Look at the water pump weep hole. When they start leaking out of the weep hole it can be very minute and it will actually evaporate from engine heat before it hits the ground (You will smell it but not see it). Though having said that, evaporating antifreeze will leave behind a crusty gree...
1) If there arn't any visible obvious leaks, start her up from sitting overnight and let her run until the coolant gauge reads midway. At that point the thermostat should open and start flowing coolant through the radiator. Take your hand and feel both large radiator hoses coming from the...
Probably the ground from the engine block to the firewall. I remove and clean mine every couple years. A lot of the computers tie into the chassis ground inside the cab.
Say it out loud and hang on the "O" portion for like 10 seconds.
DDDDRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNEEEE.
Pretty much what a bad exhaust sounds like at highway cruising speed. Loud and obnoxious.
LMAO
No not zero. Key on engine off IIRC it's like 2.5 Volts and using a scope it should be sqaure wave forms oscillating between 2.5 and 0 volts. Whatever voltage it is with a multimeter isn't as important as the square-wave pattern though. This is a digital data line and there should be a set...
Sounds like something is corrupting the data line. What is the voltage on the data line and what communications code(s) are you getting? Also do you have a scan tool?
There are actually 2 big companies that reman steering components but most are going to be A1 Cardone. Cardone is carried by pretty much every parts house besides Autozone.
Atsco does some for Autozone.
Good move. The downstream O2 should read a steady ~700mV if it's doing it's job. If it's near zero mv and flatlined (using a graph) it's dead. The exhaust side of the cat, when up to operating temp, should be hotter than the inlet side at 1500 rpm.
Probably just the starter. Next time it doesn't crank, have somebody hold the key in the crank position while you use something metallic (small hammer, prybar, deep socket) and tap on the starter. If it cranks when you tap on it, that's pretty definitive right there.
Check that wheel bearing. Right front. Also check the wheel lug nuts.
If only the right front tire is being worn that;s where I would look first. Loose steering parts usually split the difference if one side wears (tie rod) and wear both sides as it re-centers and throws your steering wheel...
