What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Decided today that I can't stand looking at my cloudy sun damaged beyond buffing headlights anymore and will need to find a OEM direct replacement on either Amazon or Ebay.

    GM Bose Radios & Amp

Well I am looking to replace my stock and boring radio in my 2008 Yukon with one of these but am a bit unsure about compatibility.

Rear End Hopping after Replacing Slip Yoke / U-Joint

Ordered the new driveshaft with slip yoke and u-joints already attached. Also picked up a new u-joint strap kit. Driveshaft should arrive this week and really hope this finally fixes the vibration problem. If not, it will be driven off a cliff and never spoken of again!

    Take Video While Driving

So while I diagnose this constant vibration issue, which I think can be fixed with a new driveshaft/slip yoke, I would like to take a look at the driveshaft moving and maybe confirm before spending $250. Least expensive way to attach some sort of recording device to the underside of the Yukon...

The actual name of the device? OBD2 or Tech-2

Good place to buy the tech-2?

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like I can get the ZR13 for $150 with coupon.

    Amateur Scanner / Diagnostic Tool

As my 2008 Yukon ages, problems seem to come up more frequently and I would like to diagnose easier. Is there a good tool that isn’t “professional dollars” that will help to diagnose issues beyond reading a code from a CEL? For example, car is running a little rough but no CEL. Is that plugs...

    Finally lowered....before and after

Wow, looks good. Is there a link to where I can find a lowering kit? I guess I am looking for a moderate 2/3 drop.

    Loud *Click* Backing Up Incline

Did find any play in trying to rock the wheel. The *click* just happens once and it doesn't even happen every time.

    AFM yay or nay?

So how does one know if you ha e the updated valve cover? Can you tell from looking at it externally?

    Loud *Click* Backing Up Incline

I was at a friends house last night that has a relatively steep driveway. When backing out up the driveway, I hear a pretty loud click coming from the rear of the car. Almost like something had popped back into place. Pretty sure it's not the u-joints because those were just done. I wonder if...

    AFM yay or nay?

When I first bought the Yukon, I really didn't even notice when it switched between V8 and V4 mode. In the past couple years, it feels very obvious when it switches back and forth. Yesterday I was on my way to work in traffic and I was just coasting down hill with no foot on the gas going like...

Rear End Hopping after Replacing Slip Yoke / U-Joint

I did locate what I think is the correct driveshaft which appears to have the slip yoke and u-joints from RockAuto for $246 shipped. ACDELCO 15916624 RWD; CODE RS5 RL5; 4 speed Automatic trans.

Rear End Hopping after Replacing Slip Yoke / U-Joint

Well almost 4 years later I still have a constant vibration at all speeds. Back in 2015, I replaced the slip yoke and u-joints on the drive shaft. Took the driveshaft to get balanced as well. I also replaced the transmission rear extension and transmission mount at that same time. Recently I put...

    Front Dash Crack

Any good suggestion for a decent looking dash pad in the $50 range that can at least cover the dash and not look like a piece of cut carpet?

    Front Dash Crack

You can get the instrument panel from GM Parts Direct for $372.60, but will have to add $200 for shipping. This makes the dealer cheaper by $60.

    Front Dash Crack

Just called my local GMC dealer here in Raleigh, NC and I am pretty sure the prices have gone up. He quoted me $514.22 for the main dash piece and $364.80 for the extension that goes in front if it. Good grief that's a lot.

Trans Fluid Drip When Parked Front End Incline

Is the shaft seal between the tail housing and the end of transmission? Easily replaceable? The u-joints were replaced same time as tail housing.

Trans Fluid Drip When Parked Front End Incline

My driveway has a little incline to it. If I park in the driveway forward with the front end of the vehicle slightly higher than the back, there is a small puddle of what looks like transmission fluid on the driveway. If I back the vehicle in the driveway where the front end is at a slight...

    Engine Shudder After Hard Stops

Well, for a few years now, it's obvious when it switches back and forth from v4 to v8 mode so I would also question the AFM.

    Engine Shudder After Hard Stops

You know after all this time, I actually don't own a scanner, but sounds like it would be helpful in many ways. Should I just search online for "Tech 2 Scanner" or is there something more specific? Or maybe a "GM Tech 2 Scanner" is way out of my budget?

    Engine Shudder After Hard Stops

2008 GMC Yukon 5.3 Flex, 2WD, 170K Twice in the past two days, I had to stop somewhat abruptly. Upon doing this, the engine started to shutter/shake like it was going to stall. Putting it in park stopped this behavior and then it went back to a normal idle. Kind of strange and I am not sure...
