    Dash BackLights during the Day?

He might not be able to since he has less than 85 posts.

    Unanimous "yes, good idea."

    Matt's Denali Build

So every time I walk out and look at the truck, my first thought is "wheels are way too small," which means it's time to upgrade. I had originally planned to run a 24" so that it won't be too big and will still have some sidewall, but every time I see one dropped on 26's, I'm blown away by how...

    Projector Headlights w/ accent

Acrylic accent lights are cool, but I'm with everybody else, the lights won't work very well. A retrofit would take care of the low beams, but I'm sure the highs would be useless. I would buy something that is known for having good light projection and then have the acrylic accents added. That...

    White grill and black rims

White grill with black wheels will look great. Bonus points for making the rest of the chrome black or white as well. Full stormtrooper!

    Dash BackLights during the Day?

I have been meaning to ask this question myself. That's awesome that it's just jumping a wire. Thanks for the info guys!

    New headunit wiring

It wants you to connect to the parking brake wire so that you can't input destination info (lots of typing) or view DVDs while in motion. Standard navigation functions would still work. As mentioned above, buying a bypass is the easiest way to do it. When wiring your adapter harness to your...

    New ride / New member

Welcome! It looks like a great start and sounds like you've got some solid plans for it! I'm getting ready to black out the chrome and smoke the headlights of my Denali, so it's nice to see an example of the finished product.

Audio help for 2004 Tahoe LT needed.

You can't add navigation to your factory radio because it doesn't have a screen and wasn't ever designed to have one. All the things you want to add (navigation, Bluetooth, aux input, backup camera, etc.) can be had by purchasing an aftermarket double din radio with those capabilities. It will...

    Want To Lower The Tahoe

If you're just adjusting the factory keys lower, you can do it yourself in the driveway in 10-15 minutes. Just remember to count how many turns you do on one side and repeat that number on the other side, that way it sits level. If you're swapping torsion keys for a different set, have a pro do...

Anyone towing with a 2/3 kit?

Here's my '07 Denali with a 3/4 drop kit and 22s towing a 3,500-4,000 lb boat. Either my autoride is blown/ineffective (VERY likely) or the weight of the boat is the point where you need air bags. I haven't done Tony's free travel mod yet, so I'm basically sitting on the Belltech bump stops in...

    Want To Lower The Tahoe

Lowering shackles will not work. They only work on leaf spring equipped vehicles and GM SUVs use trailing arms and a panhard. Lowering the front is seriously just turning two bolts underneath the truck. Doing so will ease the tension on the torsion bars, allowing the front end to come down...

Air Lift 1000 Air Springs PN 60769

According to Air Lift's website, this will not work with autoride. However, I don't really see why it wouldn't, so let me do some research and get back to you. Either way, I'm most likely going to buy these because I'm going to get rid of autoride eventually anyway.

    Upgrade or Repair

It's certainly going to be cheaper in the long run to just fix the Tahoe and if you set aside the money you would spend on a new car every month, you could have the Tahoe fixed in a couple months. After that, the money could be used for maintenance, upgrades, or whatever you want. However...

    Key Fobs (Programming) DIY, Possible?

My '07 was the same way, but perhaps they wiped out the DIC programming feature in later years? You just need to repeat the process with your old fob. Start up the key relearn feature, grab your new fob and hold down the lock/unlock buttons until you hear the chime. Then immediately pick up...

    2007 Tahoe driver door issues

Buy the fob that matches your old one exactly and all the functions will work with the one-step programming. Obviously, if your Tahoe didn't come with a power liftgate, buying a fob with the power liftgate button will not magically give your rig a power liftgate (same with remote start), but...

    How Low is Impractical?

Tony (NORCAL SS) is the guy. He'll match prices and knows literally everything about lowering these SUVs, so he can get you set up with whatever you need. I did a 3/4 drop with my Autoride and so far, so good.
