    6inch on 37s anyone?

35s with the Rough country is a nice fit

    Torsion key pics please!

The ride will be harsher too since the travel of the suspension will be limited. As long as you are aware of the bad side effects. In my opinion 3" of crank is a lot.

    Torsion key pics please!

I'm willing to bet your stock keys give the lift you are after. Before you rip the front end apart try it. cranking stock keys is the same as adding differently indexed keys.

    6inch on 37s anyone?

I have a rough country 6" on my truck. You will need to do a decent bit of trimming to properly fit 37s with out lots of rubbing. Wheel BS is a big factor too. I run the cepek 6.5 on my other truck....it will be getting 37s in the future, but I could fit them with the cepek kit. an SAS too lol.

    Brake pad sizes

Where are each of these sizes used? I have run the HB332Y.654 before so I will assume that is on most trucks, but the other two? One is a police package I believe. Fill me in. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hwk-hb332y-654/overview/year/1997/make/gmc/model/k1500-suburban...

    6 inch with 33s??

The Rough country 4" & 6" kit is the same lift. The true differential drop is 5.125" and cranked a little for 6" or decranked for 4". the 6" kit has an AAL. Trust me. So yes that kit with 33s is fine, then when you get 35s crank it up a little.

It has been sitting in the garage for over a year. I am starting to clean out...I'll never throw truck parts away.

96 Two Door 6 in lift?

Front shaft should be fine, rear shaft can be modified...longer was about $100 at a local driveline shop. The Rough country kits comes with shocks, brake line and all. Nice kit. The Y pipe does need work but 100-200 at a local place is all. plus the alignment. Wheels, tires, gears, floor...

No parking spot available? I got this...

In order for me to do that....I'd need to remove the 3' of snow and ice off the cover and start it for the first time in 4 months.

96 Two Door 6 in lift?

Brad, I did need a longer drive shaft. Two doors have a very short shaft to begin with. I believe they added about 1". I also upgraded to a CV shaft. That was an adventure of it's own getting the pinion angle correct

96 Two Door 6 in lift?

Check out Rough Country 6" kit, it is nice. A lift will not effect mileage other than more wind resistance...the mileage loss will come from the larger tires with improper gearing.

found New keys!! MAXX Cam 2 Leveling Kits

For our trucks, all lifts require some cutting and or welding. The cranking and just adding upper arms does not change the other geometry involved such as the shaft as previously mentioned....and suspension travel....

found New keys!! MAXX Cam 2 Leveling Kits

Please do some homework before believing a statement that a new key can yield 3" of lift without an adverse effect. Seriously, this is the most talked about topic with IFS trucks. Crank 3" and tell me how that truck rides.....and how the front end does in the long run...or even short term...

    calling all 96-99 tahoe owners

I agree....a lot. Our trucks typically can crank to the stops with factory keys so you're good in my opinion

    calling all 96-99 tahoe owners

37s will fit with the RCX and a 3" body. careful if you do a 10" wide wheels and some rubbing may still happen while lock to lock turning
