dunno yet, part of me wants to build a 383 and slap it in the ranger, but the pure laziness part of me just want to try and get a couple of bucks for it on craigslist.
headliner isnt to bad.. all the side panels need to come out, and anything else attached to the headliner.. to get the pillar panels out you will need to remove the seat belts which require a t50 bit.

yea thats a good deal, im a firm believer that if it broke fix it better.. so when the time comes it will get a 14bt.. i see them on craigslist here all the time for about 200-800$
i use this one http://www.scantool.net/obdlink-sx.html i havent bought the gm add on pack($190 extra) for it yet but for live data and reading/clearing codes its worth the money to me..
i actually bought mine from an owner that doesnt take care of his vehicles.. all his v8 trucks have never ran on all 8. but i figured i see them for sale all the time for about $5-8k it was a deal i couldnt pass up.. my truck is completely practical for my familys needs and i rather fix...

ball joints are not that bad it was the first thing i did in my truck... go down to your parts store and rent the ball joint installer... Top ones are the easy ones. if they are oem you are going to have to drill the rivets out. do your self a favor and have a good set or it will take you for...
