    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

I have to look at it I am pretty sure it was all original before I touched anything but someone could have done something! The tie rods, Pittman arm, iflei arm we're most likely original? But that could be the issue I'll let you know what I find? I just replaced the driver side CV axle the small...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

Everything is stock except for the rear spring / shock conversion kit from Bilstein, the stock setup should work but I drove other similar SUVs like Tahoe’s, Escalades etc and they handle how I would expect! I’m missing something and it’s going to either be stupid and obvious or serious and...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

Here's the stance of the Yukon it's really level much better than with the Nivomats we're! (I put a Bilstein shock, coil spring conversation kit on the rear saved over $500 vs just the 2 oem shocks) I wish it had the air level would have been cheeper to fix since the Nivos cost +$400 each and...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

as you can see the factory size is supposed to be a 70 series tire and I have 75 series on it so the tire is a bit skinnier than the stock needing a bit more air to hold the same weight. The tread is little aggressive but not to extreme ( I like it because they stick and handle rain and snow...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

I may need to experiment with tire pressure! I know that there’s a lot of debate on what pressure to set tires at, the Yukon says 32 psi with the Stock tire size but the Firestone Destination ATs I have on it are taller and narrower than the stock tire! So the contact patch is smaller! The tire...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

I can’t find any play anywhere I had it up on jack stands all 4 off the ground the steering wheel had maybe 1/4” of play I’m hoping it’s not something in the 4x4 system like the transfer case hanging in auto mode? Regardless of what mode it’s in the 4x4 system is quite and seems to go in and...

    Steering issues after 90% rebuild?

The tires are new about 3 months old and I rotated them after 4000 Miles.the drift is mild but bad enough that I can’t take my eyes off the road for a seceded to look out a side window for a second or I’m not traveling straight and have to correct the path again, and it’s not a pull it goes...

ok this has been a Monkey on my back for way to long! I have a 01 Yukon xl slt, 4x4. Rear Differential issue Rebuild or Swap W Boneyard rear?

Hmm wouldn’t that cause a wheel to not spin true when in the air and in gear? They seemed to spin true.

01 Yukon G80 GT4 rear axle failure? Spider damage

What do you think caused the tips of the spider gears to get chewed up? There's nothing wrong with anything else I pulled the carrier and checked everything else! Its just the spiders.

Rear Differential issue Rebuild or Swap W Boneyard rear?

I just opened the old differential it's the spider gears! The tips of most of them are gone not sure how this happened because there's absolutely nothing else wrong instead the axle! I pulled the carrier and everything else is good! Maybe someone worked on it and left something inside the...

Just got a boneyard Rear Differential does this pattern look ok on the Ring Gear?

Well it’s done now I have to get used to how it’s handling! The drift stopped but I think I have developed a muscle memory driving it locally and subconsciously try to correct its handling on certain roads I’m used to driving on! I’ll get used to it! I can’t believe A G80 was causing it to...

Flasher for LED’s without using a Resistor?

I didn’t need them on my 01(for the cruise control) I still don’t have them on the brake lights, and just used the CC A few minutes ago , must have changed something in the later years? The ecm is more involved on newer vehicles, maybe the drive by wire on newer models need it? I am drive by cable.

Just got a boneyard Rear Differential does this pattern look ok on the Ring Gear?

Yea that’s what I’m hoping for! So I have time to ge the old one perfect! The rest of the Yukon is like new! I think the previous owner was doing a lot of towing because the rear tires were worn about 75% more than the front I found the invoice and they put 4 tires on at the same time and...

Just got a boneyard Rear Differential does this pattern look ok on the Ring Gear?

It was pulled from a 03 Chevy Tahoe the one axle shaft has a bit of play(maybe due to the backlash?) the other is tight I’m probably going to rebuild the differential that’s in my 01 Yukon when I put this one in? I’m just trying to figure out if this one is going to last without any adjustment...
