Yukon Down, AWD delete, headers, converter etc...

Basically it was looking like maybe $150-200 for a use gov-lock or $400 for a new posi of my choosing. Honestly, this is a street truck, and heavy, so "needing" the traction didnt really justify spending the money. I'd be surprised if it could spin a tire even now.

Yukon Down, AWD delete, headers, converter etc...

So I decided I wanted a little more performance, and towing prowess. I ordered some blue box Motive 4.30 gears, part number GM10-430 and a Ratech rebuild kit. I also ordered a Ratech solid pinion spacer. I decided a new cover would be nice also. Motive gears and cover. Opened it up and...

That one plug on the diff is whats causing your issue. The Denali diffs have nothing to plug into them.

    muffler

As long as you run stock cats it never gonna be super loud, they block so much sound. I recommend a Hooker aerochamber, they flow well, and have a nice deep tone, and very mellow when cruising.

    02' Denali transmission issues...please help!

At 200k miles you are at the limit of the life of the clutches in the transmission. Just like tires or brakes, they wear over time, and eventually need to be replaced. Since you were near the end of their life, the mixing of the coolant and transmission fluid finished them off. The flared...

What all did you unplug? Did you remove the transfer case or is it still in the vehicle?

What's this on the power steering cooler lines?

Looks like a fitting to disconnect the line so its not all one piece.

    Gears

I believe I figured out the trucks with disk brakes got the larger of the two carrier bearings, so thats what kit I order for my Yukon. I will be installing Motive 4.30s and a Ratech rebuild kit with solid pinion spacer in the next week (when time off allows). Im doing mine for towing also.

Buying a travel trailer, what's my safe towing capacity?

I've done some towing upgrades to my Yukon, because I want to feel comfortable towing the Camaro to the racetrack. My estimated trailer weight is 5k to 5.5k pounds total. I obviously have a good trailer brake controller. Then, first and foremost was power, I did a cold air intake, more...

Yukon Down, AWD delete, headers, converter etc...

Yes you can on a selectable 4wd/2wd transfer case. On a fulltime AWD setup like the denalis and escalades have you cant, it wont drive properly.

    AC COMPRESSOR OIL

Then Id try to get about 4 oz in the system total, then you can do non-oil freon for charging.

4l80 and 4l60e use different yokes, but DS length can remain the same. We swap them all the time in the fbody world.

    AC COMPRESSOR OIL

How many components did you replace? If you ONLY replaced the compressor Id fill it up while turning the pulley, you will probably only get a few ounces in it.
