I routinely step onto the running board while entering the cabin of my Yukon.
Makes getting in much easier.
When I went through heavy equipment training school, they drilled it into our heads to never grab the steering wheel and to use all handles and steps available when entering the cab.
It...
Man, you guys have been in some serious wrecks.
In a personal vehicle, I have only had one accident.
Someone left turned me and I could not slow down in time to not hit them.
Air bags did not deploy so I wasn't going that fast when we collided.
It was 100 percent their fault and their insurance...
Running the PCV back into the intake is solely an emissions deal.
That is why no race applications do it, they just vent it out to the atmosphere.
Cars had blow by tubes that dumped under the car up into the mid 50's before they started running them back into the intake.
There is a $35 catch can on Amazon that looks very nice, internally.
I would most likely upgrade the hoses myself and grab a spare O ring for the cap seal.

With the really cold, damp weather here, I want...
There are a lot of scan tools out there that all pretty much do the same stuff.
I think the one in the link has 3 years of updates included in the price.
Some scanners have lifetime updates, I would look for one of those.
When I bought my Launch scanner it had 2 years of updates.
After that two...
For what that scanner does and what it costs, it is still not a bad price.
I paid $350 for mine years ago and I know it is less capable than that one and it has a smaller screen.
But, mine can reprogram keys and can send you an email with the diagnostic report.
Yes, I meant to say leave the fan on but the AC off.
My mistake for not being clear.
Thanks for adding that piece of very important info.
Having the fan on blowing the hotter, outside air through will help to dry out the coils to prevent the mold and mildew from growing.
The moldy smell can be caused by leaving the AC coils moist when you shut off the car.
To help prevent this, turn off the AC shortly before you get to your destination and allow the hotter, outside air to remove most of the moisture from the coils.
This will help to not create an environment for...
My Yukon was losing radiator fluid over time and it did not appear to be leaking anywhere at all.
When I replaced the Ts on the firewall, it was clear that one had a slight leak that never made it to the garage or driveway floor.
When working on everything I did notice a very slight corrosion on...
The taller sidewall will throw off your speedo unless you can recalibrate it.
Better ride quality, in general, but also more sidewall to squirm when going around a corner.
With the extended length that the oil has to travel, you would see a drop of a few pounds but 10 sounds like an awful lot.
Just for grins, I would swap in a new oil filter.
Never know, you could have a bad bypass valve.
Just a thought.
Stuff like this is why I don't really mess with suspension mods anymore.
Back in the day I had stuff lowered but I never went crazy and always researched the crap out of everything before I dove in.
The last personal vehicle I did mods on was my 2002 Altima, but it was only lowered .5 in in the...
