2005 Yukon Denali TPMS
The warning light is a TPMS warning? Being a Yukon... I would guess the compressor sound might be more likely to be for air ride suspension. Sure it is not a compressor trying to compensate for a leaky airbag or air shock? -

I just got a quote for $1,005 for replacing a bad Pitman arm, idle control arm and one upper control arm with almost 3 hours labor and a wheel alignment. $800 seems high for just the Idle Control Arm replacement on yours. That sounds dangerous to me. Rotation of the axles could melt or break the bungee, wrap around the shaft or do other collateral damage as it whips around the engine bay. I have done my fair share of sketchy things, but what you describe as a solution makes me really cringe! See what others...- MassHoe04

Fuel tank and Evap lines
Good place to start looking. I had a 94 Ranger that had the top plate on the fuel pump assembly just perforate with rust holes... We use liquid rust on our roads in MA! Could not fill the tank until I replaced the pump. I even had the owner of a pizza shop ask me not to park near the kitchen...- MassHoe04

I installed TYC from RockAuto. They are exact match to OE. Light pattern is same as factory. Build quality looked and felt the same as OE also. I like them and the prices was reasonable. However, I found it was easier to install a new radio than it was trying to get Sealight LED bulbs... -

I know hindsight is 20/20, but I would have leaned toward leaving a good working transmission in. Even with 180k miles...
