    Cable TBs will read 0 since the IAC allows in idle air. Wire (electronic) TBs will read 1-10% since idle air is controlled by the blade itself.

    The intakes are different since the non-cable versions dont have the provision for the cable. To swap to a wire tb you have to replace the tb, pcm, and gas pedal.

    If the fluid smells burnt then you are going to have a bad day....what makes the fluid dark is clutch material. A cheaper and more durable option if you do need a rebuild is an 80e swap.

    The intakes are actually the same, but the injectors may be slightly different. You need to get a tune at the very least, but the tuner should be able to adjust for the 6.0 injectors if you keep that intake. Obviously the wire-tb and cable-tb intakes wont swap over.

    Trans coolers are always a good idea. If you need more cooling you could always bypass the radiator. They are known to sometimes crack mixing trans fluid and coolant which kills the trans...

    first posting and on board air system

    The ratchet strap cracked me up! I would recommend some brackets pretty soon haha I used to have an onboard air system, 5 gal tank, 2 viair compressor, nathan k3, etc. Lot of fun but it seemed like I was always having to mess with wiring, pressure switches, leaks, etc. Very useful though!

    You may have better luck on a trade in if you take off the spacers and put some stock wheels on it...those generally give managers a bad feeling that the truck has been abused.

    Front End Noise getting loud

    If you jack up the truck and put it in 4wd and drive so the wheels spin freely (dont give it gas and use the brakes to slow the wheels down before shifting to park), can you make the noise? Maybe be easier to locate it that way...make sure you use good jackstands.

    The dash gauges should be taken with a grain of salt, they are more like dummy lights. As long as its between the red its generally ok. If your truck takes forever to warm up the tstat may be stuck open. Obviously if it overheats its stucked closed.

    There isnt a good spot on the 60e for a temp probe without drilling the pan. You can upgrade to an aftermarket pan that already has a temp port...
