I have 02 Yukon 5.3 that has had piston slap at start up since new. I few years ago I started using 10W30 for a while and slap started getting worse (louder) so went back to 5W30 and went back to the way it was. Three years ago, went 5W30 synthetic blend and noise seems less but seems to go away...
I believe that when engine in hot they both have 30 weight oil and 5 weight will flow quicker at start up and if freezing out 5 will flow better, on oil filter I use PF63 like Fubar715 said.
Why do you think you need to flush a good grade oil has package in it to clean and if it is getting dirty...
Like was said above anything that is reused when you change out transmission is suspect Wiring, lines, converter. Anything exchanged need to be checked. You could put original trans back into see how it reacts.
Just finished installing toe hooks on my 17 Yukon OPs write up spot on the masking tape around filler and fog bezel is scratch saver for me. One thing is not torquing hooks until you see if hooks are in center of filler openings. Thanks for write up.
On keeping receipts for proof of oil change, I usually buy case of oil filters and if I find oil on sale, I use buy several bottles at that time so receipts wouldn't match oil changes but what I did notice is when I change oil and reset oil monitor it would show reset on the monthly OnStar...
You may have already tried this procedure in link. I tried procedure on my 17 and straightened them up. You might have to push button to run not start and when screen comes up toggle on off with screen.

In this link from owner's manual page 372 shows how to get vehicle on flat bed which shows holes in front portion of frame where there are specific holes for loading. The pictures OP shows that it was pulled on from rear not as manual states.

In our state if your insurance pays you will lose discounts and or rate increase that's what I never understood about paying premium for uninsured motorist.
This would be professional way to haul on roll back. When dealing with expensive new vehicle.

As I stated in other post OP has this is Dealer GM problem, they sent roll back to retrieve vehicle it's their problem needs to demand new vehicle or buy back those holes and slots are used to straighten frame that are racked from collisions I would bet frame is tweaked with that much pull put...
You called dealer about problem and dealer sent the flatbed to pick up for them to repair. This is their problem and looks to me it's time for a buy back from GM that is not acceptable. Dealer picked company to retrieve vehicle you don't have anything involved in pickup service this is there...
I would flush again and make sure they use fluid in latest TSB.It's worth a try to me.
Might want to check and see if TC is under warranty if you paid for repair.
Recalls are usually a forced issue (Safety). TSB, which is out on these vehicles, says there are problems in valve train.
Recalls and TSBs are to different issues.
