They look like sonar tails. I`ve had a set for 3-4 years with zero problems.

I agree that pressure monitors are useless. When i went to 20 inch wheels i didn`t replace the sensors. I never got the light on the cluster but it only takes a second to hit that button to make the message disappear. It beats getting ripped off for new sensors that are just going to have to...
I have a spectre cold air kit on my truck but i also don`t like oiled filters so i bought an AEM dry cone filter. Just measure the opening on the K&N filter and get an AEM to match.
A bunch of us here have used digital dash solutions. He`s in connecticut and does great work and can either fix your cluster or you can buy one that is already rebuilt and then you send yours back for the core. http://stores.ebay.com/SPEEDOMETER-SALES-AND-SERVICE
He can also customize it...
It`s a custom job. I first tried a flowmaster catback with the same dual side outlet and i could never get the tailpipes to match the same angle and they were a lot lower than the ones in the picture and i didn`t like the way they looked. And it only lasted about three years before it rusted...
Unless you plan on throwing a high horsepower engine in your truck the stock exhaust is sufficient. For all that work you won`t really gain much if anything at all.
I had a custom dual side outlet catback for my yukon with three inch pipe from the Y pipe to the muffler and 2-1/2 inch tail...
There are some that claim that a catback on these trucks do nothing but make it sound better but when i put one on my truck there was a noticeable difference in mid to high rpm. It`s not a lot but i know there was a difference.
I went with a catback with dual side outlets because i...
Were you moving when you hit the button? From what i understand you must be in neutral and stopped while changing from two to four wheel drive and vice versa.
I don`t know if that changed for 05 but if i`m in gear the t case will not shift and i`ve never tried it while moving so maybe that...
The fact that it the noise changes when you rev the engine has me confused as to what it could be. If it was in the differentials or T-case i can`t see how engine rpm would affect it.
I was thinking it could be a cracked flexplate But that makes a different noise than you describe.
I had the same problem and it turned out to be a wheel speed sensor in the front hub bearing. If the sensor is bad the computer reads the wheel speed incorrectly and it thinks that the vehicle is losing traction and activates the traction control.
The hard part is figuring out which of the...
I think you`re right in starting with the u joints. I`m really surprised that the originals lasted almost a quarter million miles.
If it still makes the noise after that try to get a video of the noise and hopefully someone will recognize it.
It`s all there in black and white explaining the prices and how they add up and what will be refunded.
It`s very easy to understand. What i don`t understand is what this And i`ll be nice by calling him a gentleman doesn`t get?
Blackbear has a stellar reputation, If you don`t like their way...
I`ll second freedom motorsports, I also got the 07 and up calipers and R-1 concepts E line slotted and drilled rotors. You`ll notice the difference and the rotor hats are i believe it`s a zinc coating that still looks great over a year later even in new york state where for every inch of snow...
I use lucas fuel system treatment, Years ago my 87 suburban was running rough and a friend suggested i try it and withing half a tank of gas it was running much smoother.
Now i use it in all my vehicles on a regular basis. I don`t know if it`s the best out there but a lot of people use...
As long as they`re the same diameter i don`t see a problem except for rotating the tires which in my book is a pretty important thing to do every 5 to 6000 miles.
I had a similar problem with mine so i just took a cutoff wheel and cut the metal piece that cradles the wheel and then bent it until the spare dropped off and replaced the hoist with a newer style one.
I later read that if you remove the license plate you can reach through the hole behind it...
The power steering pulley is on a shaft so unless it`s bent it would be the pump itself that`s bad.
Like i said earlier, Start with the cheap stuff to replace like the tensioners. I think both of them are about $50 total and are very easy to change.
I would start with the one that was making noise. When mine went bad it spun freely but you could hear it. That little noise you hear is amplified when the tension is on it. They should spin silently with the belt on and off.
At least you`re in the ballpark now, Good luck.
I replaced autoride with billstein 5100`s and left the coil springs alone and I have no problems hauling stuff in the back. The suspension sags more when i load it but not much. I usually have 300 pounds of labrador retriever and about 2-300 pounds of other stuff while towing an 800 pound...
