Is it cranking over?? Have someone check the connector to the crank sensor it is located on the engine block behind the starter very easy to break when pulling the starter to get to the converter bolts...
More than likely the 2-4 band is wearing out. And the 3-4 frictions have too much clearance.. Common issues in these units... I work on these transmissions everyday...
I'm a 20 year trans builder... Google neoprene transmission pan gasket and filtran filter.. That's what I use day in and day out and you want have a problem.
More than likely in my experience as a 16 year transmission tech..... You more than likely have a bad encoder motor...... It is the deal that bolts to the side of the transfer case with three bolts and one or two connectors......

As long as you get a 4wd unit.... Detachable bell housing with a 300 mm converter you should be OK...... I'm a 16 year transmission tech ask away I'll gladly answer your questions.......

More than likely a computer problem.... A bad quad driver inside the pcm... I've seen it before in other cases we replaced the solenoids and it ended up being the pcm...

Or use one called a sonnax smart shell it is much more reinforced plus uses bearings instead of thrust washers.... If you would like pictures I would be happy to provide some

Why don't you just build the original unit.... If all it needs is a shell just have them put a sonnax smart shell.. And a rebuild kit with bushings.. A shift kit... And you will be good.... I should know I do this for a living....

I have a 2001 Tahoe.... In a professional transmission mechanic.. And my Tahoe started making a ticking noise when starting in the morning... There is a bulletin from GM that says that a defective o-ring on the oil pickup tube inside the engine oil pan is not sealing properly and causing the oil...

As a transmission re builder I would advise against it unless it is put in after a overhaul.... Reason bieng is that the original sun shell in these 4l60e units is so soft they end up stripping with a oem servo.... So you add a servo with a greater apply área like a corvette servo it creates a...
