It can drive just no 4x4. Its going to be done soon hopefully. the pops is just gonna have to set the front and guess who gets to tear it all down haha
Well after working this summer i decided i should go ahead and regear before i spent all the $ i made. I ordered 4.88s front and rear with master rebuild kits. I had a close family friend said he would install for free- the best kind! but anyways after he had the truck for a month he called me...
whipple HAD a kit, now discontinued. you can still find used ones online but others make kits too. I'm not gonna go into severe detail about FI mostly cause idk that much. but basically if you wanna run more than 5-7 lbs your going to need to upgrade fuel system i.e. marine intake with external...
i guess it really all depends how handy you are with tools... best bet is find a buddy who's already installed one and have him give you a hand. Most kits come with instructions and its really not that hard- just time consuming, an impact wrench is handy too
i have trail grapplers and i love them. super quiet for a mt and although i haven't put them through any thick stuff yet they've been perfect through what i have. So far as a DD i love them!
i would definitely listen to these guys. they know what they're talkin about. I was in the same boat as you. i ended up goin 3" body and a crank. cleared 295/70r18 but shows a lot of frame. this is just a bandaid fix til i get the $ up for a full 6" lift. but seriously- dont get the 2-3" lift...
Thats a good group your lookin at. coopers might be a little louder. your actually lookin at the same group i did before i got my nittos. ps- i love them. quiet on the road and track well. good luck
well that really depends on what your going to be using your rig for?? daily driver, lots of mud, mixed?? have you checked out nitto trail grapplers? i got some this past year and i love them!
idk about everybody else on here but i know that it would take a lot to make me part with mine. i feel like these are some of the best lookin trucks and they definitely have more character than most. i think your gonna find that a two door hoe is probably gonna cost an extra 1k-2k just because...
i had the proform ebay fans and took em all about 2-3 months for both to burn up. Your best bet really is to try a junkyard and find a mark VIII or cougar with efans. Mine came off an old buick v8 car and they work great and pull some serious air! my .02
check out city motor supply. They have the best prices ive found for reman blocks (1035 for their premium long block) and they deliver :waytogo: Im pretty sure they'd be willin to work with you to build what you want as far as internals if you give them a call.. just a thought
totally agree... thats why ive put off the full diff drop. I feel your pain on wantin more room. ive got some trail grapplers too and it doesnt feel right tuckin em in the fender wells lol
apparently, the 246 transfer case uses a clutch system that doesnt give the front DS power unless your in 4wd but it does spin in 2wd... i had a buddy drive mine while i ran beside the truck lookin at it lol its just a big design flaw with the early autotrac
TXGMC, ive got an autotrac too. from what ive gathered the problem is on the autotrac the front drive shaft spins in 2wd- i know dont ask me why lol. But it will vibrate all the time not just in 4wd. Some guys say you'll leak fluid if you pull it out for a lil while some dont. But if you want...
