Highlights of 2024 Annual Maintenance:
165,254 miles, approximately 13,000 miles since last year.
-front differential oil looked absolutely pristine, still was the greenish honey color of new gear oil. There was barely a film of sludge on the magnetic drain plug. Refilled with just under 2qts...
Yep, same here. I have already installed new GM Genuine brake hoses on the front of my Escalade. I am in the process of running the paperwork through PowerStop to get reimbursed.
At least they said something and are doing something about it.
I was able to remove the PowerStop hoses and install the new GM Genuine hoses without much trouble. I had to swap over the ball studs for the front suspension ride height sensors.
Did have a problem attaching the new hoses to the calipers. The banjo bolts only threaded in one turn, then bound...
Uh-oh…
I received this E-mail last week. Lovely. Especially since my Escalade is my daily driver.
I immediately ordered new GM Genuine brake hose assemblies.
Today, I was able to install them.
GM Genuine 84331227 left and 84331228 right front brake hose assemblies. These are correct for...

Starter
CKP after wiggling starter out of the way.
When I did mine, the starter put up a fight. There is very little wiggle room, and you have to hold your mouth just right to get the starter to move where you want it to. As well, remove the plastic dust shield around where the starter...
For what it is worth, the CKP failed on the 6.2L in my 2013 Escalade a few months ago. Engine ran, but seemed a bit off. Tach did not work, either. Reading the troubleshooting guide, ECU drives VVT to minimum. Engine will run, but at reduced power. I had to drive it home 50 miles. I made it just...
Hello 1kwikZ!
Unfortunately, I work 12 hour night shifts in Spartanburg, SC. As well, I am too far involved in house and car repair projects of my own right now. I respectfully am not able to come to you to provide assistance.
However...I can and will help you all I can via this forum. Ask me...
I lived with the spacing issue by installing 15mm hubcentric spacers and longer lug studs. I have been daily driving my Escalade since then with no issues.
It was not necessarily the diameter of the rim, but the offset of the rim. The back of my wheel spokes hit the outside of the calipers...
Hello All!
Wandered over here from the 2007-2014 forum. I recently upgraded the brakes on my 2013 Escalade ESV.
As such, I have the stock front 2-piston floating brake calipers and brackets available.
I have heard rumor that these calipers are useful to 2000-2006 GMT400's as a bolt on upgrade...
Noosir. Not yet.
I will be overhauling the rear brakes in the near future. With the rear wheels off, I plan to remove the right rear inner fender liner. I am hoping that gives me better access to the connectors.
I do not. I have been daily driving my Escalade with this brake conversion on the stock master cylinder.
No issues. There is no excessive pedal travel, either.
The stock 2-piston floating calipers, brackets, and pads are all in excellent condition.
Do you guys think the GMT800 crowd would be interested in these?
Thanks
