05 Z71 upgrading from "slider" too Auto HVAC controls, possible?

I have an 05 z71 with the dual climate "slider" (AcDelco 15-73502) style and i was wondering if I can upgrade to the Digital auto control unit model (AcDelco 15-73561) since my slider model is pretty beat up and it will need to be replaced at any rate. This is the upgrade i'm talking about here is an Amazon link:

Been talked about plenty times. Short answer is no.

Long answer is yes, but you need the entire wiring harness, a/c controls, new control modules, and your ripping out your entire interior. It would be cheaper to sell yours and get a Tahoe with it
