07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Those are the rotors to be used with the Z06 conversion. They are also intended to be used with factory gmt900 calipers. Thats a lot of rotor to grab and u better have a 20" spare.

Haven't seen anyone running them on here.

So therefore its save to say that with 22" wheels. And the gmt900 upgrade these rotors will work. If I get a flat in the front I'll just put the spare in the rear

They will work with the upgrade. I'm not sure if there would be much of a difference in stopping power over stock size (13") GMT900's since the calipers and pads stay the same although they should work at least a bit better. They sure would look badass. I would think the heat dissipation would be better though so they should help in extended braking situations. My 16" Wilwoods have ridiculously huge 6-piston calipers to take advantage. The brake pads themselves are about 50% bigger than the GMT900's. But for $750 the Baer 15" rotors are a relatively inexpensive upgrade compared to the alternatives. Plus you get to use inexpensive stock pads. My replacement pads are over $500 for all 4 wheels but they're about twice as thick as stockers. I hope they last forever lol.

I know they won't offer more braking power but they would look great. I'm just looking for something to fill the 22s more. I won't need brakes till probably the spring time but I want to start looking for stuff now. Plus I still need to finish my suspension first lol

Some actual feedback on just the rotor install. Of course this is with the GMT900 calipers. From everything I've seen the GMT900 calipers are roughly the same as C5 corvette calipers so they aren't exactly junk. You should notice a difference in the bigger rotor and they fill a 20" wheel nice.

Sick price on the linked for sale thread.. hate I missed it, but I'm happy with my setup.

No pics showing. I have Goodrich lines, hydroboost and drilled/slotted R1 Geomets with ceramic pads. Only my fronts seem to dust slightly for some reason. I really like the setup. It's solid and can slow my big girl down fast. Always nice to see other rotor pad combinations and what work..

No. 17" minimum. And keep in mind your spare will not fit, you will need to do a double change rear to front.
