Definitely worth a look but might want to work on the price considering the miles. I just unloaded my 07 with 226k on the clock. Thing ran perfect but I also maintained extremely well. Maintenance means everything on these things and makes the difference between a good one and a huge pile of garbage

Rover owners are obsessive. The negotiations will depend on the transaction, not the quality of the buy. In other words, cash talks the price down, anything else will insult that level of care to the truck.

That owner already has upgrades planned with the money from the Esky sale.

Added this info to the post ... I drove to TX from CA to pick up our 09 Platinum for $14k @ 130k mi. Jason @ Northside Lexus in Spring, TX. He actually referred the inspector below to check out the car before I got on the plane. That inspection got another $1k off the price.

Keep in mind it’s Covid month end of another month for dealers. They will deal. The 2nd 100k service is coming up on the truck. If the dealer will do the 200k service as part of the deal... buy it!

It sounds like a solid truck but checking kbb. I think the price is high? I would double check if the transmission had been serviced for sure. But no matter how clean it is since there not rear the dealer ship would not pay at excellent value my guess there in it all done at 12500. But they have to make money. Call your bank get loan value base your price on the middle value between loan and excellent. Off the hip over 15 is too much. ..good luck

2012 escalade ESV with 175k miles.

-Single owner
-Clean car fax
-30 service records - all at the same texas dealership where it was purchased.

Traded in for a range rover.

Is this a ticking time bomb? Or maybe something that is fun to drive the next two years and then sell it?

The only ticking time bomb is the Rover that guy is getting into. (They are grossly over priced, poor quality vehicles.) IMO, if you can get it for around $12-$13k, it's a good deal. Don't forget, the dealers make a lot more $$ on used cars than new, especially with all of the internet new car sales.

All used prices are up. If it is in really good shape 16500 is not bad - but that would mean tires/brakes/shocks/struts all replaced.

For sure. At least in Oregon/Washington, prices were pretty strong for all 900s and I actually paid not a great deal less than $12500 for the 2007 I just purchased. Then again, all servicing is up to date and the tires are brand new as well.

Ya thats the ONLY way id pay close to that. I bought a 2011 with a brand new motor and 150k on the body for slightly under 10k

Not a horrible price, I paid $13,500 for my 12 Yukon with 172k miles over a year and a half ago, prices are a little higher now. Depending on what the service records show to have been done or if its the exact configuration you're looking for (colors, trim level, etc), it could be well worth that price. If it still needs big ticket items like suspension work or the tires are cheapos or worn out it may not be such a good price. The transmissions are hit or miss at higher mileages, the transmission in my 12 which now has 185k on it shifts beautifully and gives no indication it is about to croak, but it is something you should plan for and have money set aside. The biggest thing I would consider is a possible camshaft and/or lifter failure which could cost thousands to put right depending on how you go about it.

All of the escalades are loaded. The price is ok. Drive it see how it is.

No, they are not all loaded.
