Ok dangit now I am just bumping my own thread...sorry for the crappy picture. Pickup is late Thursday, wheels go on Friday.

Tires ordered today, went back and forth on the order. Hope I made the right call with the 285/50/R22. That's a big freaking tire, I would bet I have to do a touch of trimming even with the level kit unfortuantely. Fingers crossed. About $30 more than the 305/45R22 but I just didn't want them coming out past the fender much, if at all and it gives me more sidewall which is what I wanted.

But they are half way here and the guy is like this is an E 10-Ply rated tire you know that right? I guess I should have - never realized. Hopefully the weight of the vehicle, drop the PSI and the mag ride smooths out that ride. I have 10ply 285 tires on my Tahoe now and think they are fine but they have always been on there so I don't know what it is like to not have them. Certainly don't tow anything to warrant them but I am on jobsites a bunch and I suppose that is why I have never had a flat or sidewall puncture. I am quite positive the 6.2 will handle them without loosing too much.

Well yesterday was a day of highs and lows!

Picked up the Yukon. Freaking incredible. What an amazing difference and improvement over the previous model Tahoes.

The dealer installed the leveling kit and loved the 2.5/1 - they have just been doing a 1.5 front so I sent them the link for the one I used. Yukon looks great with a higher level stance. I need to watch parking garages though because it is tall! Window tint matched to the back looks great as well.

When doing the walk around noticed a scratch on the driver's side glass and thought it was in the tint. No problem, the guy will come to me and re-tint ASAP. Nope, it was on the outside in the glass. Item No. 1 - Order a new driver side window and replace.

Drive straight to my tire shop. They had the 285/50R22 Nittos arrive and they mounted 2 and upon opening the 3rd of four wheel boxes we were met with a gunmetal gray 22" instead of the satin black. Item No. 2 - Pull off the wheels and tires and put on the factory 20's.

I don't understand how that happens. I guess I should checked and opened every box when I got them. 3 blacks and 1 gunmetal not working for me. In their defense I called OE wheels, sent them a picture and they had a new black wheel shipped expedited within 15 minutes of my call with a pre-paid label for me to send the other wheel back. Honest mistake but at least the customer service was johnny on the spot.

So anyways, not going to be 100% complete until Monday. Still enjoying the heck out of this thing though. Wow!

It was dark by the time I got home, so a picture for proof! ;-)

I like the gun metal rims you posted. I think it will go well with iridium metallic denali that I have on order. I ordered the standard 22" w/chrome inserts... Maybe I should try plasti dip gun metal now :hmmm2:
