4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

This is getting a little out of hand there....smoothing the texture of the caliper....but I agree.
I'm going to install and test mine first.
Then see if they fit on the back.
I also think the caliper would look better with that front ridge shaved off. Its steel so I don't think that would compromise the caliper too much.

Then you could put some heat resistant stickers on it.....I haven't seen any Tahoe ones.

What would be the best way to shave off that ridge? It almost sounded like some people have had a machine shop do it and now I'm seeing people talk about grinders, flap wheels, etc. I got the Brembos installed on my truck yesterday and the pedal feels great and they stop great. I was planning on swapping over my old calipers with the EBC pads to my Yukon but now I may want to use these 4 pistons if I can make them work with the wheels I have because I don't really like the EBC pads.

I have been playing with this particular mod/upgrade for over a year.

IN regarded to the fitment on the rear, I have not tried. But with all good mods/upgrades, someone has to be the test monkey and try it.

The main issue I would see, is trying to find the correct sized 13.5 "rear" rotor.

You've probably already covered this. But you'll need a proportioning valve, too. The rears typically do about 20% of the braking due to weight transfer. Without changing the brake bias, you'll be activating your ABS a lot more often.

So I see guys on youtube doing this 4 piston upgrade from a 2019 silverado to their 00-06 silverado.
Has anyone here tried this on the Tahoe?
Should fit right?
Seems pretty easy and straight foreward.
Like $350 in parts.

I would like bigger brakes.

I would like to know if anyone has put these on a 2017 Tahoe, what parts were needed, was it a bolt on or is machining required. Thanks in advance

The 2021 Tahoe shares the same front caliper as the silverado.
If the 2017 front wheel spindle is the same as the 2021 Tahoe it should bolt right up.
I would say you have a high probability.

I think the folks here were referring to smoothing the rough texture of the caliper with flappers and grinders.
When you say brembos do you mean Brembos? Or the 2020 Silverado caliper?

I thought about buying a metal blade for my chop saw and just shaving it off but its a lot of steel material, will make a mess and could bind and launch a 20lb football into my groin.....So I put that on the back burner.

You should post a PIC or 2 of the brembos on your truck.
