i want to get more horse power with my 01 tahoe 5.3 so just wanted to know if anyone can help on what i should do

The most common mods are catback exhaust or just replace the stock muffler, Cold air intake, And last but not least, A blackbear tune.
If thats not enough power you can get a set of headers and do a cam swap or like chip said, Go with a supercharger.
I have the first three i listed and i`m very happy with the results. If i could afford all the mods listed i know i would be extremely happy!

you wanna get that Hoe' Breathing
CAI / Airbox mod
Cat Back Exhaust
next: (decide how far you wanna go)
you can go with a tune (but if you're gonna do a build, you will wanna do the tune at the end)
depending on money available
I'd recomend a Head/Cam package as well as changing the gearing
it all depends on how fast you wanna go (and how much you're willing to spend)
