yah 350s are soft i know.

if you want 29 inches in rear your going to have to go with a short spring. But with 8 inch springs in rear your shocks are going to have to be short so spring doesnt pop out.

450-600 is the spring rates to go with just a matter of getting the right height.

the 8 inch springs come in either 400 or 500 which are both good but id go more toward the 500s.

yes tony your right this is very important to not have a long shock that will let these qa1s pop out. the shorter and stiffer you go the more important is to keep the spring in. ill go with the 8-500 and cnotch i have a set of djm shocks extenders that i didnt put on since the shock was short enough for the coil not to pop out.

is there another way to drop the truck more with out messing with suspension? like the rubber mounts between the frame and body?

my z71 doesnt look that dropped and got me thinking if they used different under carriage mounts for the truck to be more lifted as its a z71 with off road package.

rigo do you hae shock extenders on it now?

at 32 inches at ride height right now with the shock extenders in right?

DO me a favor measure the following

1) Spring height from top to bottom at ride height
2) ONLY if shock extenders are in measure shock from center eye/eye at ride height

Do that then I can go from there to set you up better on what your looking for. also you can ditch the rubber bushings for now.

JK did a body drop with s10 body mounts. He has since removed them and reinstalled the stock body mounts. You will need backets for your bumpers to realign. A roll pan would take care of the rear bumper. By doing this you will drop an 1".

do you know why he took them off? i guess an SS bumper will help with the front too.

shock exenters will help ride cause the shock will have a chance to move up and down not have side load on it.

So the 10-350 springs are essentially a 4" drop coil for these trucks, maybe 4.5" at most. Seems like the only option for lower springs are the 8" or 9" with a very high springrate to maintain ride quality and prevent bottoming out. I personally don't mind a stiff spring as long as you run a good shock it should ride real nice. Kinda weird that my belltech 4" springs actually sit lower than the 5" mcgaugheys, djm, and those 10" qa1

That sucks but I am in the same boat with you, my 4" DJM coils sit lower than the Belltech 4" kit and the McG 5" kit, WITH isolators!
