Another option for Motor/Engine mounts

That’s common. One side goes bad. The dealer verifies 1 motor mount is $850 installed. Customer runs away to an Indi tech and gladly pays $400 for just one generic, non hydraulic mount.

The new mount takes a beating because the other mount is tired and then lasts 1/3 or 1/2 as long as it should if both mounts had been done.

BTW it looks like the brand your shop used is a US based Buss in OH. They may even be made in USA.

With Poly / Urethane and rubber it’s based on Shore hardness. For isolating movement like a sway bar bushing, Poly is unrivalled. If Poly is used in a tie rod end, strut bearing, strut bump stop, A arm bushing it isolates movement but also transmits vibration.

The rubber is needed in the above parts because its Shore hardness absorbs the energy (vibration) vs transmitting it to the vehicle.

Just imagine driving on Poly tires vs Rubber.
