WOW that guy from the dealership is a complete MORON. Yea anything from the 07+ Tahoe's on the GMT900 platform should fit across the board no matter what package it comes with.
No necessarily. For the most part you would be correct, but there are times you may/may not come across where this isn't the case. For example, I wanted to install a second battery in my Tahoe. I got the part numbers and diagram from my Chevy dealer for the PPV Tahoe which does come from the factory with a second battery. When I received the cables they didn't match the diagram, and the positive did not go to the jump box of the first battery, but to some plug area that should be in the engine bay on the passenger side of the engine, bolted to the firewall. As for the negative cable, the ground was suppose to mount to a plate that appears to be near the brake booster. Since my truck wasn't a PPV/SSV the stuff I ordered couldn't be used.
