i just had to chime in about this.
so i had a 2010 CC Silverado; that i parked at CLT airport in long term parking for a lil over a week. no i put my sun screen in and lowered my windows so that it wouldn't be to hot. well when i got back and got in to the truck my dash was also cracked. no mind you this was a truck that i didnt even on 2 years yet. so luckly i bout it late in the 2011 year and it was covered. i just hope it doesnt happen to my Hoe!

Sure, as I am sure it also cracked after it was 2 to 3 years old?
I had a '90 Z71 Silverado truck, a '96 2 door Tahoe, a '99 Tahoe, a 2000 Z71 OBS Tahoe, NEVER had this issue.
BUT, I ALWAYS put a dash mat on ALL of my vehicles.

I have had over the years more vehicles than I can shake a stick at.
In the GM family alone I have had a....
1991 S10
1996 Tahoe
still l own a 2002 Z-71 Suburban.... Never any issue.
2001 Chevrolet Express 3500
1998 Astro
Now I am scared for my 2011 Yukon XL I just got.
I think it was more annoying to me that it happened at 6:00 AM when I was on my way to work.
