Glad you like my mounts! :)

I guarantee no one is going to break mine, solid or poly versions. The ones pictured above are poly ones so they do have some rubber to absorb some vibrations. Both versions are laser cut 3/16" steel and very strong. I have more pictures on my facebook page, www.facebook.com/atomicfabandperformance, and on my website, www.atomicfabandperformance.com

Feedback has been that most cant even tell they have aftermarket mounts, except maybe on a cold start at idle. If your engine is not healthy, then issues will be more obvious since these dont give near as much as the factory mounts, but on a healthy engine with no issues vibrations are minimal. I personally think the poly mounts are cooler, but both mounts work well.

I have solid and poly versions for 99-14 LS trucks, so 4 different versions total, all pictured here and I can paint them black if you want, otherwise they ship raw:

These have poly, so not as bad as solid mounts. Eventually I'll be cammed and supercharged so I'll skip the Hummer mounts.

Yes, atomic from pt.net. Great guy who really helped me tune my engine and transmission. Well, I paid for his help but $$ was cheap and he knew his stuff! Lol, and I'm not getting anything out of pushing his services and products.

I have a set of factory mounts on the shelf and just need time to do them. One of those mounts is the H3 unit.

I'm finding these AFP mounts interesting. So, it's been more than a week, how are they to live with?!?

They look great on my garage floor! I'm very slowly fixing my header install and doing the mount install at the same time.

Ahhhhahahahahaahahh!! :happy175:

I know the feeling with projects!! I've had my motormounts since last November!! I just don't understand why, when you leave the truck parked in the shop with the parts sitting right beside it, the parts just don't jump on the truck and install themselves!!!

Please keep us updated.

Definitely looking forward to feedback. I would much rather support a small business than the dealership with the H3 mounts. You never know when you might boost and good to have something that can already take the abuse.

I'll give my impressions asap. Unfortunately I have a laundry list of things to fix before she gets back on the road. Body denting for 02 sensor and header reinstall, trans lines, front shocks, etc. It's easy to get a ton done without headers in! It still might take a few weeks. Life and work take time.

That said the drivers is out and replaced.

It fit well. The bolts to the frame can be a pain.

I used a trans jack for extra support and jacked up with 2x4 on the back end of the cast oil pan. It's got bracing there and not close to the oil pickup.

2x4 here. This is after the drivers install. No damage. Yes I know I have an oil pan leak. That's a future fix. I'm trying to keep my to-do list manageable.

Thank god I have another car I can drive!!!

I'm not sure how most guys install them, you can either do it bolted together already, or do the frame and engine separate and line them up and put the main mount bolt in.

My Yukon is finally back on the road. My impressions on poly mounts are as follows...

I personally feel vibration when in D stopped at a light. I feel it through the brake pedal, the cab vibrates a bit, my bad side mirror shakes. We'll see what the wife says. Please note I set my idle high to deal with bad oem mounts and engine shaking. I'll put it back to stock. This might help considerably. I'm too tired to do it now.

Also note I have 160k miles on my engine with what appears to have been owned by someone that hates maintaining it.

When moving everything feels like stock. Like totally stock. I can hammer it and the engine stays in one place. No more headers hitting the body, O2 sensors hitting, or touching the starter wire. No more loud clunks. I had to tune IN more trans torque management on down shifts because I would get loud banging. Perhaps these mounts will mitigate that?

Do I recommend them? God yes. Many times over. GM has a serious ******* problem with their OEM fluid filled mounts. H3 mounts might work well too but when you have tight header clearances they might still allow hitting on the body. Please remember my Yukon has the 6.2, is tuned and will have a supercharger. I can't imagine H3 mounts lasting with large amounts of torque.

My overall recommendation is that if you replace your mounts, do headers while you're there. Even shorty headers. Or have bolts break like me and just do a long tube setup. ;)
