FYI, just got back from a camping trip up in the Sawtooth Mountains and had starting and stabilitrack issues. The engine would not turn over twice (CEL) and messages indicating the stabilitrack and traction control were off (symbol also flashing and beeping). I have only had this truck for 3 years and ~49k miles...

Getting the truck back from the dealer tomorrow and they are replacing the fuel pump and driver side front wheel hub. Thank goodness the powertrain warranty covered it (5 yr/100,000 miles)!

Sounds like a sensor is integrated into that hub, and in typical fashion they have to replace an entire assembly.

Sucks, but those messages don't mean the hub is gone. Could just be bad or disconnected sensors, I've had that happen too many times.
As for the fuel pump, wonder what could randomly kill it like that.

Well I picked it up yesterday and you guys are right, the wheel hub had a bad sensor and the whole thing had to be replaced. As far as the fuel pump, they recommended not to go below 1/4 tank to ensure proper fuel pickup to cool the pump. With our busy schedules and the little one, we have been filling up and running the tank to near E. Can't hurt to keep the tank more full.

Thats what I thought.
The fuel pump needing gas to cool is another BS excuse. Last time I checked the fuel pump in these truck cool as gas passes through it, not around it. So as long as you do not run out, you are good to go.
GM service techs are funny....
