No problem.

Another cool feature of this is the ability to park, keep the car running, take the keys with you, and lock and arm the system. This is great if you're just running in and out somewhere and want to keep the HVAC going until you get back.

Narco, or anyone else with an answer, is there a panic button/mode on these? My wife really likes that option, but I cannot find anything about it. Car finder does very little and is not the same thing as a triggered alarm sound.

Also, for anyone looking, gooddeals18 has them for $109.00. Only a couple in stock, though.

I finally found it in the "notes" section of the remote functions.

Hit and hold lock and it'll go off after a couple of seconds.

Am I reading this correctly, How did you get it set up, also how do you get the motor to shut down, other than tap the brake

If you do everything normally, like turn it off and take the key out, it turns off.

It's called "Valet Takeover." It shouldn't require any special setup, it's a built in feature.

With the engine on and the key in the ignition, press and hold the start button for about 2 seconds. Then wait a few seconds, until the lights on the remote stop flashing. Then take out the keys. The car will stay running.

You can then exit the car, lock and arm it with the lock key. It will still run until the programmed run time runs out or you turn it off with the remote. Or you can unlock and disarm, get back in, put keys back in ignitiion and take off...all without ever shutting the engine down. Pretty much every cop car has something like this built into it up here so they can respond to calls and not get back into a freezing car(not sure if it's just here or everywhere). It's pretty nifty when you're still trying to warm the car up and stop for morning coffee. ;)

Thanks for the info I'll have to try it tomorrow, seems pretty cool, BTW we're still getting snow here in PA. I'm ready to say **** it and pull up stakes and move to Naples FLA. or somewhere on the FLA gulf coast. I'm already hinting at work to transfer there. Then again Alaskas weathers lookin pretty good right now also.

Yeah, the weather here has been pretty mild for us. Temps have been higher then normal, mostly above freezing during the day for weeks. We got kind of a surprise snow yesterday morning, but that's not a big deal up here. Just dig out and keep going as normal. But it was half-melted by the end of the day.

Gotta admit some tropical weather sounds pretty damn good right about now, though.....
