You're welcome.

Any problems with it, let me know. It is brand new, though, so I don't expect issues.

Hey, for you guys that have the 5701 ...

Question on the LED and confirmations ... Is the lock and unlock on the remote a toggle of the same key (in other words, do you hit the button once to lock and again to unlock)? And secondly, how do the LEDs on the remote next to the keys work? When you hit lock does it somehow let you know it's locked as opposed to unlocked? Same with the remote start ... how do you know the command was received and executed?

Thanks for the feedback ... I'm trying to decided between the 5701 and the 5901.

its got separate lock and unlock. the led next to the button you hit lights up. once its sent back from the car to the remote a main led light above all the keys lights up to confirm the car got the command

It also has what has to be one of the most god-awful noises you could come up with as a confirmation "chirp" from the remote.

I imagine you'll join the club and turn the audio part off ASAP.

Thanks narco ... my question is because of an old Alpine alarm remote. Basically you could accidently disarm/unlock without knowing it and had no way of "seeing" on the remote what the status of your system was. Does this LED response eliminate this possibility? Are you guys ever worried that your truck is accidently unlocked?

Thanks again

Other then the confirmation when you do it, I don't know if there is any way to tell the status later. Probably is, I just haven't needed to figure it out.

Basically, everything turns off after a couple of seconds. You have no visual or audio cues.

Cool ... Thanks Scott. I'm thinking about joining the ranks of the 5701 owners, but am wondering about getting the 5901 instead. Guess I'll call the local installer/dealer here and make a final decision soon. Thanks again for the feedback.
