Ok i MIGHT have figured something out here.. I took a dmm to the injector plug, the big square plug that goes to the injectors.. And well i checked the cylinder 6, it read either nothing or .02 or something like that on volts, i think it was my dmm wires tho cuz they got messed up. And i checked a few other injectors, they all read 11.some volts.. Soooo that would lead me to believe i have a wiring problem, maybe computer or something..

So now with that info, i am really hoping that someone can lead me in the direction i need to now. I am not sure where to find the source of this problem. I looked at the wires right off the plug to make sure they werent damaged. Where can i check the other end of the wires to see if its getting power from there?

If your readings are accurate then your injector is shorting out. You want to check each injector terminal set on the injector body itself. They should all be around the same if one is really off like you had earlier then that is most likely your problem. If so I would recommend the doing the injection spider upgrade but it will take a while. it is not worth replaceing one of the old ones when the upgrade does the whole assy for $250. regardless you would have to take the upper manifold off. if your readings match then I could provide diagrams to test your wiring harness for them.

Well i had checked the injectors once before, they appeared to all read the same as far as ohms on the injector pins. I have a feeling that its something to do with the wiring. It has to be since that cylinder 6 does not show any voltage like the other cylinders do.

If you could provide that that would be GREAT and very appreciated.

I dont think the injector itself is shorting out, but like i said i really think its the wiring somewhere along the line. Thats a huge mess of wires to go through tho.

Also i know all about changing the injectors as ive taken it apart like 3 times due to changing the injectors as i thought that was the problem. I have extra injectors and im tight on money so the used injectors will have to do for now.

Here is a simple diagram from the positive side of injectors from fused power to the negetive triggers on the computer. Depending on what you probe you can check resistance in the wiring or ensure the each injector is getting full supply voltage and the injection connector. Can you decipher the wire coding and connector or do you need help?

Nevermind i found the same picture online and its bigger so i have it now.. But, how do i find where the wires go to on the other end of the big connector?

Im guessing that im looking for a yellow/black wire, for injector number 6.

Now is the pink wires the positive, or is the pink ones the ground?? Im so confused with this. I dont even know what to do or look for.. This isnt going to be fun..

As far as i can tell, the wire going from the computer to the injector for cylinder 6, is not working.. I put the dmm on ohms and so it beeps when the leads touch, well its not working. I got it to beep when i put it on a different injector wire and tried it.

If im correct, its pin number 16 on the "RED" connector at the computer for injector number 6. And its not showing anything. So i think i may have a bad wire somewhere along the line.. Im guessing its gona be pretty hard to run a new wire through all that mess of wires. I wonder if its visibly broken or if its jus broken inside the wire jacket..

Ok so ive double checked again.. And the wire between the computer and the injector has to be broken/have a short in it. I checked the other wires using the diagram posted above. those are all working, number 6 wire does not work. The positive (pink) wire has power in number 6..

So now, i have to replace this wire i guess.. But i dont know how im going to do this. There are so many wires tied together.. This is going to be a huge mess.. Will it matter if i cut the ends off the wires and jus splice a new wire into the wires coming out of the plugs or would that be bad??

Ok so i have the harness from the old truck that the motor came out of, so i removed the one wire that wasnt working on my harness in the truck.. put it in and started it.. While it does seem better, it doesnt sound 100% as i think it should. It still seems to shake a little bit at idle but when you give it a little gas it doesnt seem to really shake at all, as far as i can tell atleast. Also the check engine light didnt turn on when i started it after putting the wire on either. So i guess thats a good sign??

I still have to run the damn wire through all that wire loom which is NOT gona be fun to do..
