For refernce I'm in Memphis Tn, Took my 2023 Yukon 3.0 in for a engine Diagnostic, TSB updates and check engine light scan. Planned / Schedule the service and upon check in was told they will keep the truck for 1 week before they can even look at it and then 3 weeks after for any repairs. That's almost 1 month without a vehicle and no loaner offered. Is this normal what timelines are you experiencing?

Well I don’t know if that’s normal for what people are experiencing but i can tell you. . ain’t no way. They should be providing a loaner, pennies on the dollar rental or at least something. 2023MY is damn near brand new. You’re not going to even try to get me something to get around with? OK, Excuse me sir, give me my keys back. and then I’m going to another dealer that is actually reasonable.

I guess the best case scenario if sticking with that dealer is that after they look at it, no repairs needed, you get it back after 1 week. That is not as bad. But 4 weeks, no truck, no loaner, on a vehicle that probably still is under factory warranty? Oh, no.

I would find another dealer. The 2 dealers I use, both scan for codes when the Service Advisor checks the vehicle in, and all of the TSB updates were done same day. The only exception to same day is if they find an issue and have to order parts, or open a TAC. I sent my 1500 in, it needed a new mapping module, and they opened a TAC over the DEF not displaying the correct level. For the DEF, they updated the firmware, then replaced the sensor, still showed full all the time. They opened a TAC, and ended up replacing the DEF Tank. Now sure why that fixed it, but it did.
