I assume oe lifters and gaskets etc? How big is your cam?
yep, i wanted to get it done before i put to many miles on it and would feel iffy about reusing some of the parts - so my list will be considerably shorter than what id feel comfortable reusing out of a 100k+ mile engine.
changed the 8 afm lifters out for oem "ls7" lifters, i used the ls9 7 layer head gaskets.
Id consider mine a mild cam, could have definitely gone larger but cost was already *********** at that point.
doing a cam, you need a tune period so close to stock or mild doesnt matter.
valve springs again close to stock lift or not, i wouldnt risk throwing in any higher of a lift cam with doing springs. "cheap" springs are 80bux for gm ls6 blues good for most .550 cams, $200ish is about what i spent on some pac beehives (still single coil "oem replacement" and are good up to .625 lift), doubles i think tsp or btr have a nice set for 260ish with everything needed good to over .650 lift . what im getting at is i wouldnt restrict myself to using a nearly stock cam only because i didnt want to spend another $100 on springs.
pushrods - cheap, hardened under 100bux "house brand" jegs/summit/tsp/btr all carry something that will work
My cam is 218/228 113lsa iirc with .600 lift on intake and exhaust, deletes DOD, retained VVT. It is probably slightly larger then id want to use without changing the stall converter (my stock 6.2 would flash about 1800rpm)
the dod delete kits do a pretty good job of compiling the parts, misc gaskets for front cover/front crank seal/waterpump/etc
@01FormulaTA has a little bit smaller cam, vids still looks like is hauls ass nicely he may have gotten it done a little cheaper than i
